  • Are you interested in Street Theatre & Outdoor Art? Intervention & Transgression? Dance & Movement? Poetry & Spoken Word? Performance & Live Art?

Come along to our first workshop on Wednesday 1 July 2015 6-8pm @ Jasmin Vardimon Production Space to find out more! We are looking for local dancers, singers, poets, actors, musicians, choirs, props and costume makers, and a variety of street style performers who live in the Ashford district to join our project.

Artists R.M. Sanchez-Camus (Marcelo) and Isa Suarez, with local people, will produce a new performance on the streets of Ashford around the theme of Courage.

A site-specific live promenade piece performed by everyday people and local performers in August, the piece will tell stories of courage collected from people living in Ashford.

Marcelo works in performance, street theatre and circus while Isa works in live music, film soundtracks and sound installations.

Marcelo and Isa will be running workshops and rehearsals at the Jasmin Vardimon Production Space.

If you don’t have experience in performance but are interested in taking part, please get in touch as enthusiastic and adventurous minded people are definitely part of this!

This is a unique opportunity to take part in a project involving a diverse range of people to share stories of courage in your own town. Please RSVP by emailing sarah@peopleunited.org.uk
