Best Fest needs you!

Join the Creative Champions on Monday 25, Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 July before Best Fest to help create artwork that will be installed and exhibited at Best Fest on Sunday 31 July 2016.

In the week leading up to the festival there will be some great opportunities for people of all ages to get involved in the preparations:

The Giant Kindness Tapestry
Local residents have been working with Newington’s artist-in-residence Nova Marshall to create a giant temporary artwork that explores the theme of the festival; kindness. Drop in on Monday 25, Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 July to make your contribution to the tapestry.

Urban Artwork
Urban artist Sam Giles, has been working with young people in Newington to create a project specifically for children and young people. The young people themselves applied for funding to make the work happen. Come along and work with Sam and the young creative champions to create a piece of urban artwork that will brighten up Newington and celebrate fantastic public spaces such as The Copse and the Secret Garden.

The making days are free, everyone is welcome from Newington and beyond, and refreshments will be provided.

To participate in these preparations for the tapestry and the urban artwork please come along on all or any of the making days at Newington Community Centre on:
