Maria Amidu is a visual artist and producer of social projects. Her artistic work is focused on substantiating what is hidden, obscured and less obvious in varying historical and contemporaneous collective situations.
Maria also works in the heritage sector as a Projects Programmer for public engagement and learning across age groups, and has written and edited a number learning resources linked to collections, place and identity. These resources include the Autograph ABP Archive Learning Resource, the Citizen Resource for the National Maritime Museum and components of the DARE CD Rom for Iniva. She is currently supporting the development of the newly established Stuart Hall Foundation as part time Programme Manager.
