Tom Andrews founded People United in 2006, and is now a freelance Associate for People United delivering our Mentoring Programme, Away Days and bespoke consultancy. Tom has worked for over 20 years in the arts, education and community sectors, and alongside his consultancy work, is currently training to become a Counsellor. Central to his working life has been using creativity to nurture understanding and to bring people together.
Previously Tom founded and ran the acclaimed music organisation Music for Change and worked as strategic manager for the Royal Opera House. He also wrote the first education pack on Tibet and promoted artists from around the world as part of the voluntary initiative Under One Sky. He was part of the first cohort of fellows on the Clore Leadership Programme and regularly mentors cultural and community leaders.
