Second blog from Karen Simpson who created art out of litter found on the beach at Hut 136.
Wow what a great time I’ve had at the Beach Art Hut, over 60 people came along and either decorated a ‘pebble’ for my Community Art Installation or made some Beach Litter Art or both in some cases.
It was great to be able to do the Beach Litter Art on the beach and people could go off and see what materials they could find for themselves.
The weather was variable but it was still an enjoyable experience, I saw a seal one day, a pair of ducks swam past another day and it was very calming sitting listening to the waves lapping on the shingle.
Sitting looking out to sea one becomes aware of much more than you can initially see with just a glance.
Thank you for letting me use Hut 136 it has been a very enjoyable experience.
The beach hut is available to individuals and community groups. Find out more on our beach hut page.
