Just two comments we received from young carers during the tour.
Beautiful, funny and moving stories about experiences of empathy were told to artist Sarah Woods as part of The Empathy Roadshow tour (9 – 11 July). Her interactive, multi-media, one-woman show was presented to a number of different types of audiences including choir members in Canterbury, volunteers, artists, mothers of young babies and toddlers, and young carers in Sheerness. One audience member declared that they were: ” Entertained, happy and inspired – also – importantly – challenged!!!”, whilst another said the event was “Interesting and thought provoking”.
We are really grateful to all those who shared their stories either on film or during the interactive elements of the piece. Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such an enriching and pleasurable experience.
The personal and moving stories gathered by Sarah on this tour will be used to create a final performance taking place at the Marlowe Theatre Studio on Saturday 14 September 2013.
