People United (PU) is an arts organisation based in Canterbury. We work in East Kent, making art ranging in scale from small intimate encounters to large scale public art. We create the conditions for creativity to flourish in an environment where we care for ourselves, each other, and the world around us.
We collaborate with communities; connecting through creativity and placing Radical Care at the heart of our work. Radical Care is more than care as a good deed. It challenges systemic inequality and advocates for change.
Our creative practice shines a light on Radical Care wherever it appears, from food kitchens to immigration services. Working in partnership with these services allows us to make deeper connections with people who experience the most disadvantage and enables us to have important conversations across increasing difference.
