Stories without Limits – The Waiting Gym
Last month marked the culmination of the most recent Studio project, a creative partnership between KRAN, People United, and Folkestone Fringe.Â
This year’s Studio Producers collaborated with artist genuinefake to create The Waiting Gym — situated along the Folkestone Fringe trail, an interactive installation that invited visitors to rethink what it means to wait. Rather than viewing waiting as a passive state, the installation encouraged participants to see it as a practice of active resilience, explored through movement, play, and imagination.Â
Alongside the installation, the Studio Producers and creative producer Josie Carter joined KRAN for their podcast Stories Without Limits. In this episode, they discussed the project’s journey from concept to reality and reflected on what it means to use their lived experience to shape and spark meaningful conversations with the public.Â
