Emma Wilcox

Interim Chair

Emma is a consultant working across culture and place. She was the founding Director for Creative Estuary, an ambitious 4-year programme supported by DCMS, to unlock the economic potential of the Thames Estuary through culture-led growth. She has over twenty five years’ experience in the cultural and creative industries across arts management, strategy and policy development and as producer, fundraiser and trainer.

Emma has worked in both the public and private sector and is passionate about the importance of access to arts and culture for everyone, and the benefits that it can bring. She has delivered projects for a wide range of arts and cultural organisations across a variety of art forms. Previous clients include Folkestone Triennial, Acrojou, Turner Contemporary, Bedford Borough Council, Whitstable Biennale, Luton Culture and Artswork. Emma previously worked in the commercial design sector in marketing and business development, with a focus on developing brands and products for children. Emma is a fellow of the RSA and a Clore leadership alumnus.
