Helen Brierley
Operations and Finance Manager
Helen joined People United in October 2022 and has over 20 years of experience working in arts organisations and the creative industry. She thrives working in a creative environment and having worked exclusively in small teams she has held multifaceted roles working across many areas including project management, finance, administration, fundraising, marketing, and HR.
Following studying a degree in History of Art at the University of East Anglia Helen worked at Caribbean Contemporary Arts in Port of Spain, Trinidad. She returned to the UK to do an MA in Arts Management and then worked in London and Liverpool at The Royal Drawing School, A Foundation and Rochelle School. Since moving to Kent Helen has worked at The Horsebridge Arts Centre and for Bright Shadow, an arts organisation working with people living with dementia.
Since moving to Kent she has worked for arts organisations that really care about the community that they serve and is in no doubt about the power of creativity and the positive impact that taking part in creative experiences can have.
Outside work Helen enjoys reading, walking, listening to podcasts, watching films and hanging out with her family.
