Jade Desumala


Jade Desumala has worked in communications, programming and production across the arts and cultural space for over ten years.

Following a Media and Communications degree from Goldsmiths University, Jade went on to study for a Masters in Cultural and Creative Industries at King’s College London which focused her studies on cultural redevelopment and gentrification. Since then, Jade has spent much of her time working within the art and screen industries, having previously worked for the British Film Institute, Free Word, British Independent Film Awards, Sheffield DocFest, Animade, Rooftop Film Club and Sedition Art.

Outside of work, Jade sits on the board of Altogether Different, an organisation focused on improving inclusion within workplaces. Her leisure interests include community organising, cinema and cooking.
