Sue Mayo is a researcher and a theatre maker. In addition to teaching Applied Theatre at Goldsmith’s, she specialises in devising arts projects with community groups. She is currently exploring the theme of repair – of our stuff, ourselves and our communities, and is also leading Magic Me’s intergenerational women’s project, Generation Rebellion.

Sue is co-author, with Susan Langford, of Sharing the Experience, a handbook on inter-generational arts projects (2001), and of Detail & Daring: the art and craft of intergenerational work (2010). She contributed to Performance & Community (Ed. Caoimhe McAvinchey 2013), and The Applied Theatre Reader (2020). Sue has worked with People United at Tate Exchange, and on their report Taking Care, the Art of Kindness (2019).
