Working in collaboration with the Institute of Imagination, People United commissioned Goldi Chadhuri to explore the collective imagination of children and their families.
Goldie is a designer and engineer who works across a range of media to create delightful experiences at the convergence of learning and play.
Through a series of workshops in museums, school classrooms and at festivals, the participants and Goldie worked and played together to collaboratively define the people, places and things that make up the universe of our imaginations.
The final result was the Imagination Lab, a pop-up space that blended digital and analogue making techniques for people to create short, animated films of their imagined future universes.
The Imagination Lab engaged with 1,600 people at the London Design Festival, the Giant Picnic in Herne Bay and Best Fest in Ramsgate.
The project was supported by Clore Duffield Foundation through the Clore Prize.
