Kindfulness Space
Neelam is an award-winning poet who has performed at the Canterbury Festival & Adrian is a freelance artist who also creates live illustrations for events such as the Wise Words Festival.
Kindfulness Space is a creative design for a dedicated wellbeing zone that could be incorporated into areas where the public gather to wait – such as airports, train stations and shopping centres. It includes real plants, comfortable chairs, forest imagery, calming videos, soundscapes, poetry and guided meditation.
These spaces are revolutionary in that they turn away from capitalist tendencies to making money from people in every available space, both physical and digital. Instead they focus on us being human, being present in our own lives, and they remind us to look after ourselves and each other, and to find beauty, joy and wonder in the small things.
