Charlotte joined the People United team in August 2018.

Charlotte studied Psychology at the University of Kent, graduating with an honours degree in 2012. In the final year of her degree she chose to focus on Developmental Psychology, with a particular emphasis on how children develop language. For her final year project she undertook research with the Kent Child Development Unit, which included supporting the centre’s co-directors by working as a Research Assistant.

She then went on to work for the university for 5 years, providing high-level administrative support for two major professional services departments and one academic school. She also served for 2 years as a staff representative on Council, which is the university’s supreme governing body.

Charlotte is passionate about the Arts and creativity. Having learnt classical violin from a young age, and later piano and percussion, she is now an enthusiastic member of the Kent Soul Choirs. Since moving to Folkestone she has taken part in several community yarn installations, combining her love of crochet and community projects.

She loves living by the sea.
