Lauren is an associate lecturer at the University of Kent in the School of Psychology. She has recently submitted her PhD and specialises in the social aspect of children’s development, particularly how children come to understand gender roles and stereotypes. Lauren supports People United’s collection of data, quantitative analysis and report writing.
Lauren gained her degree in Psychology with Applied Criminology (2005-2008) at Canterbury Christchurch University, before undertaking her masters (Research Methods in Psychology, 2013-2014) and her Doctor of Philosophy PhD, Psychology, at the University of Kent (2015-2018). Lauren is also undertaking a PGCE in Post-Compulsory Education and Training at the University of East London. Before lecturing at the University of Kent, Lauren taught Psychology, Health and Social Care at Palmer’s College.
