Tina joined People United as Co-Director in February 2014 and became the Chief Executive in April 2016. With over 20 years experience of working in the arts and education, Tina is passionate about the positive and unexpected role the arts can play in enhancing people’s lives and being a catalyst for empathy and compassion.
With a background in art history, she started her arts career at the Walker Gallery in Liverpool before teaching Art & Design in London/South East secondary schools and working as a guest tutor of history of art and drawing for Art History Abroad in Italy. Tina then worked at Tate for 8 years where she became Head of Young People’s Programmes at Tate Britain before taking a national role at English Heritage as their Head of Education. As Deputy Head of Learning at the Museum of London she focused on family learning, Under 5s and university partnerships.
